MAY......Fertilizer (22-0-0) / Pre-emergent (Barricade) Herbicide (Speed Zone, spot treatment as needed)

JUNE......Insecticide (Acelepryn, Billbug, Sod Webworm & Grub Control) / Herbicide (Speed Zone, spot treatment as needed)

JULY.........Fertilizer (22-3-8)   

OCTOBER........Fall Fertilizer (31-0-0) / Herbicide (Speed Zone, spot treatment as needed)

AUGUST..........Fertilizer (22-0-6, slow release) / Insecticide (Talstar)

The optional application is designed to provide a continued slow release of fertilizer that will ensure a lush healthy turf throughout the sometimes difficult and stressful summer months. 

Fungicide

The Green Star fungicide prevention program is designed to prevent fungus from invading your turf.  The golf course industry has recognized for years that frequent preventive fungicide applications are key to maintaining a healthy turf.  Because of the recognition, the annual fungicide budget is four times that of all fertilizers, insecticide and herbicides combined.

Flexibility is designed into the Green Star program to meet the specific needs of your turf, your expectations and of course your budget.  You may wish to target one specific fungus with one or two applications or you may choose the ultimate program with an application every thirty days for five months for season long control.  Along with each application, a soil amendment and nutrient package is added to help breakdown and loosen compacted clay soils.
